When we were in the 5th grade, Edgar said he was not feeling well and stayed in the classroom while the rest of us went to the gym class. When the class returned they found that their shoes could not be removed from the floor. As I recall, Billy Jolly's shoes left part of the soles stuck to the floor. Also some of the lunch boxes were stuck as well as other items. The teacher asked everyone to check to see if they had anything glued down. While all of this was going on, Edgar had his head down on the desk slapping it with one hand. But no matter how much he was questioned he never admitted to doing this her. The next day he laughed as he told me the look on the classmates face's as the struggled to free their belongings.

This is the first time I've seen this site. This page came as a shock. Not knowing what happened to each of these people makes this difficult. Danny Sallows one just one of the people I lost touch with. I was in band with him and had many classes with him. He had a great sense of humor and could always make me smile. People in band were a close knit group. You spend a lot of time with them. I remember crazy times traveling to shows and competitions. Danny was always trying to make people laugh with his goofy jokes. There are so many stories I could share. He was a lot of fun and he is missed.

I sat next to Danny Sallows from the fifth grade till the tenth. We both played the trumpet but Danny practiced more and it showed. Everyone knows how smart and funny Danny could be. Many did not know that he played the trumpet with equal talent or more so. I envied him, he made it look easy. His wit would get him trouble at times. His 8th grade rendition of "The midnight ride of Paul the Queer" was never completed as Mr. McWilliams sent him to the office. I about fell out of my chair laughing as did most of the rest. There are many people that enter and leave our lives. Danny was a postive influence for many of us. I have our sixth grade band photograph and there we are sitting next to each other, my friend.

Thomas Sanders was the classmate that I knew the longest. We were five years old when we first met. Along the way we were in the Boy Scouts together and later we attended vocational school. But it was with his help that I got my first kiss! He caught Peggy Giles for me and I held her down on the school bus seat and gave her a kiss on her cheek :) Who would ever believe that he would recall that when we were seniors?
